Microsoft Office 2013 is the latest version of the Microsoft Office productivity suite for Microsoft Windows and the successor to Office 2010. It was launched on January 29th 2013.
Office 2013 includes extended file format support, user interface updates, and support for touch. A couple of long requested features are available in the new version, users can have more than one Excel window open at a time and are able to open and edit PDF documents in Word.
Office 2013 supports Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows Server 2008 R2 or 2012. A version of Office 2013 comes included on Windows RT devices.
Microsoft Office 2013 includes the following physical editions:
Home & Student: This suite includes the core Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote 2013. It is available for retail customers and may not be used for commercial purposes
Home & Business: This retail suite adds Outlook along with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote
Professional: A full featured retail suite it includes Outlook, Publisher and Access as well as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote
There is also a Standard and Professional Plus versions available through Corporate volume licensing
